Bringing Past Pages Bookstore to Life

One of the most rewarding parts of my work is helping clients take an idea that’s been living in their head and turning it into something tangible, functional, and uniquely theirs. That’s exactly what happened with Past Pages Bookstore, a business dedicated to celebrating and preserving Western Australian history through second-hand and out-of-print books.

When Petrina first came to me, she had a vision of a website that not only showcased her collection but also reflected her deep passion for WA’s history. Together, we created more than just a website — we built a complete identity for her brand. I designed the logo, colour scheme, and overall theme, giving Past Pages a professional look that stayed true to her vision and love for storytelling through books. To add a special touch, I even created custom bookmarks to complement the brand and give customers something they can take home.

But for me, it’s never just about delivering a finished site. It’s about empowering my clients to feel confident managing their own platform. I walked Petrina through each step of the process — from uploading new stock to creating appealing displays of her books. I also created simple video guides so she’d always have resources to refer back to. The result? Petrina now has the skills and confidence to update and manage her website day-to-day, while knowing I’m in the background to provide support whenever she needs it.

Her feedback reflects what I strive for in every project: creativity, professionalism, and genuine care. I want my clients to feel supported, confident, and excited about their online presence.

Here’s what Petrina had to say about her experience:

“I can’t thank Julie enough for the incredible work she did in bringing Past Pages Bookstore to life. From the very beginning, she took my rough idea and turned it into a professional and visually stunning website that perfectly reflects my passion for Western Australian history books.
Julie not only designed the website but also created the logo, colour scheme, and overall theme, giving the site a unique identity that feels true to my vision. She went above and beyond by designing bookmarks to complement the brand, adding an extra special touch.
Julie patiently walked me through the whole process of managing my own website. She showed me how to upload book information, how to display my stock so it’s appealing to visitors, and provided easy-to-follow video guides I can refer back to. Her encouragement gave me the confidence to take care of these tasks myself, while still having the peace of mind that she is managing the site in the background and is always there to offer advice when I need it.
Julie’s creativity, professionalism, and genuine care made the whole experience seamless and enjoyable. I highly recommend Web & Print Hub to anyone looking for someone who can take an idea and transform it into a polished reality.”

I’m so proud of how Past Pages Bookstore turned out, and even prouder of the confidence Petrina now has in running her site. Stories like hers are why I do what I do — turning ideas into polished realities and helping small businesses shine online.
